New Trackman swing analysis studio at Dukes Meadows

New Trackman swing analysis studio at Dukes Meadows
Dukes Meadows now has the latest technology to help analyse your swing.
The new studio has been fitted with a Trackman, which combines two radars and a camera for the most accurate club and ball tracking.
The studio also boasts two high shutter speed cameras to record your swing from down the line and from face on which, when combined with Trackman tells you pretty much everything you could ever need to know about your golf swing and what to correct. It can even measure putting if needed
So what is TrackMan? And how can it help?
TrackMan is essentially a radar which tracks the golf ball and the club head to give us data so that precise areas of your swing can be corrected.
It delivers 26 different data points, but probably the most useful are and they’re not necessarily in any order.
- Clubhead speed
- Ball speed
- Club path
- Clubface angle at impact
- Angle of attack
These factors will determine how far you can hit the golf ball its direction, and also how well you are likely to strike it.
So, for example, a player who has been hitting a big slice (left to right ball flight for a right-hander) they will have a swing path that is to the left of the target line at impact and a clubface that is aiming right of the target line at impact. They will also often have a downward angle of attack which will cause a loss of distance as well.

The other useful feature on this latest Trackman is it also accurately shows impact location of the clubface, which helps explain direction and loss of distance issues
This kind of data is invaluable in helping players understand their tendencies and where improvements will lie
Along with the data capture TrackMan can also be used to make your practice more interesting, and therefore more productive. You can play courses that are loaded into the software and also practice specific shots on those courses, so for example, you could practice hitting your tee shot on the 17th of St. Andrews until you get it just right
TrackMan is even sponsoring tournaments on the simulator so there anyone wanting to enter and pay the entrance fees you can compete for up to $20,000 per tournament
